Keynotes and Leadership Programs

We provide three types of leadership programs: a 45- to 70-minute keynote presentation, a half-day seminar and a full-day program.

A keynote presentation perfect for any size group
Whether he’s doing a keynote presentation or conducting a half-day seminar, Brad Myers, founder and president of The Wisdom of the Horse, creates a different kind of classroom, where horses are the teachers and the life lessons are about respect, trust and excellence. A third-generation horseman and third-generation veteran, who left the corporate world to follow his life passion, Brad shares the spirit and ability of the horse to teach us about ourselves and our life potential. In a down-to-earth style that combines humor, story-telling and refreshing candor, Brad masterfully blends his life experiences with the knowledge he has gained from years of working and studying with Native American Indians, Spanish Vaqueros, renowned U.S. horse trainers, life mentors and teachers.

In all of our programs, participants discover new insights about communication, decision-making, team work, self-esteem, life goals and leadership skills. This journey of discovery begins with an exciting shift in self-awareness and perception of the world.

A half-day seminar for large groups
To kick off the seminar, Brad provides 90 minutes of instruction and demonstration with one or two horses. During this time, Brad shares The Wisdom of the Horse principles and philosophies. For the next 90 minutes, participants interact with the horses and participants who wish to volunteer do ground work with the horses. We usually wrap up with lunch and informal roundtable/Q&A discussion with Brad. Some organizations prefer to break into smaller groups after lunch to share their experiences and how they may apply to their unique work environment. These break-out sessions are facilitated by senior managers or leaders within your organization.

A full-day program for small groups
This longer program, with more one-on-one instruction with Brad and the horses, generally has a more profound effect and lasting impression on participants. To ensure safety and provide the highest-quality experience, these programs are limited to small groups. Participants do not ride the horses; they perform ground work with a horse and engage in exercises that allow the horse to teach powerful and personal life lessons. And in between they have some fun, too!

Patient and passionate, Brad possesses a rare gift: he is able to communicate the wisdom of the horse and facilitate a partnership between each program participant and the horse. This partnership results in participants learning how to create new empowering agreements with themselves, gain tools that cultivate leadership skills, develop greater self-confidence and improve their communication and personal relationships.

By understanding and working with these beautiful, magnificent animals, participants experience very personal revelations and positive changes that materially affect the way they perceive the world. Participants leave our Wisdom of the Horse programs with a new self-awareness and enthusiasm about their ability to lead, reach their potential and enjoy life.
